1 Vehicle Inspection- During the test, you will be required to demonstrate your ability to identify whether the commercial vehicle’s safe to operate by completing a pre-trip inspection.
2 Basic Control Skills – You will be required to test your ability to control the commercial vehicle through a number of maneuvers, such as back up and parking.
3. Road Test – The test examiner will assess your ability to drive in real-world conditions on the road, including highways, city streets, hills, and more.
While there is no time limit for the CDL test, applicants should expect the testing process to take approximately 2 and 2.5 hours.
